I met with director Adam Leon and cinematographer Ashley Connor throughout pre-production to build a our starting point look for TRAMPS in advance of primary photography. Pulling from a variety of inspiration from Eggleston prints to old playboy shoots and Kodachrome prints we wanted to emphasize the vitality of the NYC... We pushed for a dirty high contrast feel with deep rich reds and yellows which popped urban signage, taxi cabs, and skin tones. This was then loaded in camera (but not burned in) during shooting, during dailies, and as out starting point for the DI.
Tramps premiered at TIFF and was quickly picked up by Netflix for distribution.
